PC Fair Loot~

Yesterday was the last day of PC Fair. Through these 3 days survey, i had noticed few things. First of all, the thingy sold were become lesser compare to last year. As from the last year, i noticed that most of the stall would selling pendrive, printer, memory card and so on as you walk along and survey the price. This time, there's only few available stalls sold those things. Also, people who visited also less, not as much as last time like traffic jam. Economic problem?

However, this time there's some new products. Western Digital have introduced its own Ext. Hdd with its own casing, and its convenient for us to purchase straight without purchase Hdd and casing separately. The price are kinda reasonable, perhaps to some people say "Holy craps, cheap like hell XD".. As what i saw, for 3.5" Ext. Hdd 640GB-RM 429, and 1TB-RM439. The difference is only RM 10 and you can get 360GB extra. For 2.5" Ext. Hdd 360GB-RM260, and 500GB-RM389. Is cheap, right? Those are included casing already. For me, i bought the 360GB. BUT....WHEN I WENT BACK AND TRY, FUCKING THINGS INSIDE ONLY GOT 300GB -.- Nah, bought already, cant do anything also -.-

Furthermore, i purchased the WD Media Player also which cost RM409. Tried the quality, one word to describe it-BEST !!!!! Indeed, the resolution is damn damn nice as compare to what you watch through laptop. Now the problem is my TV is old one, like CRT monitor, for better resolution, should use LCD TV, and then plug by using HTMI cable. That's the way for the player in order to fully function. Let's see what pic had i posted :-

Mini Controller XD

Different types of suis that different regions use...

Chibi "Tongkat Ali" for the 2.5" Ext. Hdd. By the way, the harddisk is not including in the WD Media Player XD.

Yesterday night i tried on this babe. There's only one problem which is no subtitle for MKV format video. Others got so no worries about it. How to solve it? Since i tried already i will stated here. What you need to do is just upgrade your firmware, because the firmware inside is only 1.00.01 (if not wrong). So the new update will be 1.01.02 (if not wrong, lolz forgot alredy, i knew is something like that). So just sit back and wait a while update it. You can download the latest update from HERE. What's new about it? Let's see....
  • Even more video file formats supported
  • Improved subtitle support. Additional advanced features added
  • Enhanced Matroska (MKV) support for chapters and subtitles
  • Enhanced media playback and navigation
  • Improved power management
If no idea how to update, here's the instruction...
  1. Open the firmware update .ZIP file and extract the two files (.BIN and .VER) to a
    USB drive's main directory
  2. Turn the WD TV on and connect your USB drive
  3. Use the remote control to select SETTINGS from the home screen
  4. Highlight the firmware upgrade icon, and press ENTER on the remote
  5. You will be prompted to perform the firmware upgrade. Select OK and press ENTER.
    This will restart the system
  6. After restarting, the system automatically enters firmware upgrade mode
  7. Once the update process is completed, the HD media player will restart again
No worries about the update, don't scare got errors, corrupt the system and so on since i had tried the experiment already. Don't Worry, Be Happy ^.^
